A PANDEMIC CAN’T STOP CREATIVITY : WHEN FAITH GOES A LONG WAY
As the pandemic was still keeping our clients from operating normally and semi lockdowns were sweeping the country, we hid away in Vincent’s family in the countryside during which we killed our time self producing two short films for the Nikon Film Festival 2021.
The rules were a maximum format of 2’20’’ and an imposed theme: « Le Jeu / The Game ».
We had two ideas and decided we would make both as they would be a fantastic exercise for us as narrative filmmakers: one story would span across a decade, while the other would almost be in real time. All self produced, with minimal equipment and our family as crew and production support.
None were selected at the Nikon Film Festival, but our cousin starring in « Hide & Seek » had faith in this film and submitted it to a few festivals around the world… It earned 2 wins as best indie short film, 2 honorable mentions and 4 selections including the LA Short Film Festival.
